Job Summary:

The Office Clerk is responsible for providing back up assistance to the Receptionist during rest and meal breaks by greeting clients and visitors; answering phones and routing calls; scanning, printing, copying and filing documents in electronic and paper document management systems; receiving, logging and distributing deliveries and mail; and miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Greeting clients and visitors
  • Answering phones and routing calls
  • Serve coffee/tea/water to guests as needed
  • Maintain the common meeting and lounge areas
  • Scanning, printing, and photocopying documents
  • Filing documents in electronic and paper document management systems Logging and distributing deliveries and mail
  • Organize documents in binders
  • Miscellaneous office tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous law firm experience preferred
  • Familiarity with general office equipment and answering phones Professional demeanor
  • Attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact well within all levels of the organization

The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and experience in the legal industry. As of the date of posting, JMBM reasonably expects to pay between $22 and $25 an hour for this position.
