Office Assistant/Bookkeeper
We would like to hire an Office Assistant/Bookkeeper to handle our day to day financial tasks relating to invoicing, accounts receivables, daily deposits, etc. Additionally, this position includes assisting in answering the phones, helping walk-in customers, providing excellent customer service, etc. Understanding all aspects of a retail environment is essential to being successful in this position.
Office Assistant/Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Obtaining full understanding of company software used for daily operations.
- Monitoring daily financial transactions, preparing deposits, and reports.
- Processing accounts receivable.
- Collection of overdue accounts.
- Understanding customer accounts, and the flow of transactions in the retail setting.
- Working with an accountant when necessary.
- Assisting with answering the phones.
- Providing customer service, including sales, when necessary.
Office Assistant/Bookkeeper Requirements:
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, and bookkeeping software.
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business services environment.
- High school diploma.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Experience in a retail setting.
