Seeking a full-time OB/GYN Sonographer who will be responsible for the independent operation of diagnostic medical equipment to expose various OB/GYN conditions, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Ultrasound examinations include a variety of conditions ranging from routine OB/GYN to fetal anatomy survey, nuchal translucency, biophysical profile, and endovaginal scans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education:

· High School diploma or GED preferred.

·Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynecology (RDMS OB/GYN) Preferred

· American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Principles Preferred

·Nuchal Translucency Certification Preferred

·Current CPR certification required

Experience:

· At least 2 years in an accredited Allied Health Educational Program and one-year on-the-job training in ultrasonography, or completion of an approved Ultrasonography educational program.

·1-2 years OB/GYN experience and/or training with graduate sonographer

·Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

·Demonstrated proficiency with all tasks on the most current OB/GYN competency list.

·Able to work independently and as a part of a team as well have thorough knowledge of high-risk conditions.

·Knowledge of Medical Terminology

·Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus (speak, read and write)

·Demonstrates knowledge of compliance issues within the community clinic environment.

·Complies with HIPAA policies.

·Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to be sensitive with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.

·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize

·Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills

·The sonographer is responsible for daily operations of the patient schedule, equipment maintenance, report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA).

Physical Requirements:

·Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

·Communicate effectively in person in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population.

·Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy.

·Perform complex mental functions; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.

·Sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time and come and go from the work area repeatedly throughout the day.

Employment Type: Full – Time (40 hours per week) M-F (8:00 am – 5:00 pm); may require over-time on occasion.
