Job description
Functions as a Student Research Assistant to provide support of daily operations in Dr. Jay Fournier’s research laboratory within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health; assists with research activities under direct supervision, which may include assisting with collection of and organization of research data, scoring and analysis of research data, conducting library research, and/or assisting with inventory and maintenance of research supplies.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled in a degree-granting program. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
60% Assists with research activities under direct supervision; collects and prepares documentation; assists with collection, organization, scoring, or analysis of research data.
15% Assists with implementation of plans to recruit and retain study participants; assists with screening participants, recruitment, and enrollment of human subjects for participation in clinical protocol under direct supervision.
15% Perform duties in support of research staff to improve laboratory efficiency and effectiveness.
10% Conducts library research; copies and files relevant research articles for future reference by research staff; collects and prepares documentation for publication; assists with preparation of manuscripts and articles in publications.
