Wingate by Wyndham Angola is currently looking for a Hotel Night Auditor to join our team. A Hotel Night Auditor, is responsible for overseeing front desk duties at a hotel during the overnight shift. Their duties include helping guests check-in or check out, reviewing guest payments and other details from the day shift to ensure guests provided payment for their stay or any additional requests and acting as a point of communication for customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and record all reports relating to total hotel sales for the day.
- Post, audit, and print accounts receivable receipts for approval.
- Communicate to General Manager on any guests at risk or positive feedback.
- Greet all guests with a friendly welcome and a smile. Respond promptly to guest questions complaints and requests.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the proper uniform at all times. Keep working area clean and organized.
- Supply information about the hotel’s services, the community, points of interest, accurate travel directions, etc.
- Clean lobby area to maintain a clean, neat, and professional atmosphere.
- Answer the phone within 3 rings and direct calls professionally and courteously. Take accurate messages and deliver them promptly.
- Complete guest check-ins and check-outs according to standards of service, adhering to the 30-second standard.
- Sell rooms as needed and make reservations when requested, using knowledge of room rates and selling restrictions and strategies.
- In sold out situations, make preparations to find accommodations for “walked” guests.
- Stock and replenish the Market/Pavilion, ensuring a neat appearance.
- Complete all duties as specified on shift checklist. Print reports as assigned.
- Knowledge of all emergency procedures and PMS systems.
- Review all daily events to assist incoming guests with the location of their functions.
- Communicate all guests at risk with supervisor and or manager on duty.
- Communicate with other hotel departments regarding guest service requests or complaints.
- Responsible for the shift cash drawer and balance to report at the end of each shift.
- Provide assistance to other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the hotel.
- Create a comfortable guest experience by immediately taking care of requests including but not limited to beverage service, baggage handling, extra amenities, rollaway, cribs, and anything else requested by the guest.
- Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Highly organized, have strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and sell effectively
- Outstanding people skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.
- Self-motivated. Ability to work without constant supervision.
