Music Teacher
Position: Anticipated 1.0 FTE Music Teacher Elementary & Middle School Vocal
Starting Date: September 1, 2023
Minimum Qualifications: NYS Music K-12 Certification
The Guilderland Central School District is now accepting applications to fill an
anticipated full-time, probationary track MS/elementary vocal music position. The
position consists mainly of MS general music classes and chorus, with responsibility for
some elementary General Music. Knowledge of Music Learning Theory is a plus.
We are looking for candidates who have;
- Diverse backgrounds, educational interests, and experiences
- Experience in teaching classroom instruments, general music, and choral music
- Positive attitude and passion for teaching
- An adaptable and coachable mindset
- Enthusiasm for the well-being and progress of children
- Strong musicianship, piano, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong interest in working collaboratively as part of a team

Salary: In accordance with the Guilderland Teachers Association (GTA) Contract
