What you'll be doing:
The Mobile Network Engineer II on the Network Services Team, you will support platforms that support both wireless operations throughout their life-cycle. This position will also be responsible for new technology and product research, as well as, providing plans on how to implement new technology in our network.
- Perform or contribute to network design projects for 5GSA, NSA, and LTE core networks.
- Installs, admins, configures and maintains network management systems including operating systems and related software.
- Provide on-call tier 3 support to resolve customer issues outside of normal business hours
- Monitors and assists in managing applications, device availability, network conditions / status, system reliability & performance.
- Manage network hardware, supporting systems and network additions / upgrades
- Other duties as assigned
It would also be helpful, but not required to have...
- Experience with PaloAlto firewalls and Cisco IOS-XR based routers.
- High level programming language experience for conducting automation activities.
- Experience using or administering Netscout network intelligence tools:
- Netscout Session Analyzer
- NGeniusOne
- Netscout Business Analytics
- Experience working with LTE equipment vendors including:
- Ericsson, Cisco, AMDOCS, Nokia, Mavenir
What we're looking for:
You need to bring...
- Comprehensive understanding of LTE network protocols and procedures.
- Diameter, PFCP, HTTP/REST, GTP, and S1AP/NAS
- Experience deploying and operating of Cellular EPC, 5GC, and IMS network elements.
- Understanding of supporting IP Networking Technologies,
- DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc…
- Understanding of Virtualization and Containerization technologies;
- 5 to 7 years of experience in the design and operation of telecommunications networks.
