This position is funded through the Money Follows the Person Capacity Building Grant and is therefore, of time limited duration with funding anticipated through September 2025. The position supports diversion and transition efforts through the Money Follows the Person Demonstration Project. The position is responsible for research, data analysis, and interpretation of data related to diversion of Medicaid recipients from institutional settings as well as the transition of Medicaid recipients to the community post institutionalization.


This is a modified position with grant funding requested every four years.


This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

What you can offer us


  • Knowledge of State of Montana information technology and Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Knowledge of basic statistics, data collection and analysis tools.
  • Ability to develop and maintain data tracking spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of research design techniques, tools, and methods to conduct advanced data analysis, analytical and critical thinking.
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Data analytics, applied mathematics/statistics or like field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience (i.e., data management and analysis, report design, and presentation).
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
