Medical Courier (College Station and Brownwood Texas areas)
Job description
We are urgently seeking a medical courier to join our team! You will collect and transport/courier non-blood specimens to and from nursing homes, designated labs, or facilities. Openings in cities throughout Texas. On call stat positions also available. applicants in the BROWNWOOD, TX & COLLEGESTATION AREA are encouraged to apply Hourly Wage plus mileage reimbursement
Responsibilities:
- Properly, store and or transport specimens and blood samples from patients
- Monitor storage and inventory of supplies
- Maintain clean and healthy work environment
- Adhere to laboratory safety policies, procedures, and remain HIPPA COMPLIANT
- Maintaining good records and communication with your lead on a daily bases
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mobile phlebotomy (preferred), phlebotomy, nursing, or other related fields is helpful but not required
- Works well with little to no supervision
- Ability to build rapport with technicians, and understanding patient care is our number one priority
- Strong organizational skills
- Available to start immediately
