Seeking full time Medical Assistant for busy Family Practice. Salary based on experience, $12 - $16 per hour. Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Job Description:
Provides assistance to the provider to administer nursing care to patients. We are seeking an experienced full time Medical Assistant to join our busy family practice. Candidate must be self-motivated, accountable, dependable, organized and must possess a strong ability to multi task. Must possess adequate computer skills. Rate of pay dependent upon experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- 2 years experience preferred
- Family Medical Practice Preferred
- BLS - American Heart Association helpful

Job Specific - but not limited to:
- Works well with other staff members to provide patient centered care and a non-hostile environment for all staff members
- Consistently implements communication, coordination, and cooperative efforts with provider and other staff members
- Interviews patients, obtains vital signs, such as pulse, blood pressure, temperature, height and weight, and documents information in the patient’s chart
- Completes Medication Reconciliation for each patient
- Prepares treatment room for patient examinations
- Operates EKG and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
- Coordinates scheduling for patients receiving tests outside the clinic
- Provides condition-specific patient education and anticipatory guidance, as well as care coordination, under the guidance of the provider. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs
- Returns patient phone calls in a timely manner and calls patients with test results timely
- Completes documentation in patient's chart in a manner that is timely and clear and concise
- Ensures all patient areas are stocked and neat in appearance
- Maintains continuing education requirements
- Demonstrates organizational Service Excellence tenets by presenting a positive first impression and anticipates patient needs
- Complies with Employee Health requirements for employment
- Works in a manner that promotes safety
- Adheres to dress code policy
- Actively participates in the clinic’s performance improvement initiatives
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
