Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

Seeking medical professional with a dynamic personality to join our North Andover location as a Medical Assistant. Candidate must be enthusiastic about helping others, dependable, and interested in professional growth and development.

The Medical Assistant answers phone calls, follows leads, provides patient care; obtains patient’s vitals; obtains blood samples; conducts urinalysis, EKG, body composition, and phlebotomy; documents patients’ progress; and assists with patient care management.

Ideal candidates possess current clinical experience in nursing or medical experience (Certified Medical Assistant or LPN)

This is a part time position.

Administrative/Clinical Duties:

  • Use a multi-line phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming call
  • Check-in/Check-out patients
  • Conduct urinalysis, EKG, phlebotomy, and body composition analysis
  • Obtain patient’s vitals
  • Administer Intramuscular injections under supervision of a provider
  • Prepare laboratory order forms
  • Obtain patient laboratory results
  • Assist physician or mid-level practitioner with patient referrals to other healthcare professionals
  • Document patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR
  • Assist physician/practitioner with medication inventory procedures
  • Conduct assessments as delegated by supervising physician with patients regarding the Medi-Weightloss Clinics® program
  • Perform other clinical duties as required
  • Conduct follow up calls to patients to discuss the patient’s progress and address any concerns
  • Assist with all administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering telephones, scheduling patients, and filing medical records
  • Responsible for daily inventory levels of all clinical supplies
  • Trains additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician
  • Participate in clinic marketing efforts and provide ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success

Job Type: Part-time and Per-Diem

Hours: Weekday hours TBD but will include every other Saturday from 8a-12pm
