Trade-Related Job Specifications:
Millwrighting
§ Support the needs of the mill by installing, repairing, dismantling, or moving machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.
§ Subject to successfully complete both written, and practical Mechanical Qualification Tests; which includes computer skills, basic math, blueprint reading/writing, timed pump installation; please see attached exam summary for more details.
§ Apply knowledge to use tools appropriate for the job, such as hand or power tools, drills, hammers, wrenches, jacks, hoists, levels, etc.
§ Must be proficient in trouble shooting and using diagnostic equipment supplied by the company.
§ Must have ability to measure, adjust, and set up equipment, machinery, and tools to precision specifications.
Welding
§ Must be able to control and operate diversified ARC, MIG, TIG, plasma, and acetylene welding and cutting equipment
§ Must understand fusion of various metals, including clad type metals associated with maintenance repair, alterations, and overhauls. Must be able to properly identify and select materials.
§ Subject to successfully complete the following welding tests: 1) 6” schedule 40’ pipe uphill weld on 45-degree angle 60/10 root and 70/18cap. Pipe is beveled. 2) 304L Stainless Steel on 6” schedule 10 pipe on a 45-degree angle TIG pipe test. 3) Written exam.
Pipefitting
§ Must have experience in welding techniques, Stick, TIG, MIG ETC. Must show the ability to weld structural steel and pipe.
§ Support the needs of the mill by installing, repairing, dismantling, or moving piping systems according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.

§ Must demonstrate the ability to work as directed, following company and department policies and procedures.
§ Work with other tradesmen assigned to mill projects. Working as a team player is essential.
§ Must demonstrate the ability to work safely in an industrial environment, practicing safe work habits and complying with company and department safety rules.
§ Must be able to act independently in cases of emergency to maintain good operations and prevent injury or loss of life to other employees and people.
§ Must have tools appropriate to trades. Lists of required tools will be provided prior employment/hiring.
§ Employee will consistently work to improve skills to bring value to department. This includes but not limited to training for millwright, welding, and pipefitting. Potentially oiling/greasing, vibration analysis, fire safety, and machining skills as well.
§ Employee must have ability to run forklifts, and heavy equipment. Must be able to obtain certification
§ Employee must be willing to assist other disciplines when needed
§ Must be able to hold and produce a valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
§ Must be physically fit and able to work on elevated structures, platforms, and scaffolding.
§ Must have good eyesight, correctable to 20/20.
§ Work requires continuous standing, walking, and reaching; frequent squatting and fine motor skills; and occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, and sitting.
§ Must be capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
§ In proximity to moving equipment.
§ Extreme heat and cold conditions.
§ Confined Space work
§ Working from heights
§ 8, 10, or 12-hour shift schedule. Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed.
§ PPE Must be consistent with job tasks and company policies
