The HCWS Production team is looking for an exceptional Mechanical Engineer to support the Design, Integration and Testing of the CPS Weapon System. This position reports to the Production Engineering Associate Manager and will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the LM assembly, integration and testing effort for the HCWS Integrated Weapon System.
The Mechanical Engineer for the LM Production Program will support a cross-functional, multi-site team. This engineer must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic customer environment, be comfortable working with geographically dispersed teams, and be able to understand dynamic program which support overall objectives of the program. The Mechanical Engineer is expected to support integration and testing, provide data and support to the team for Lockheed Martin executive level leadership and customer briefings. This engineer is expected to participate in and support major program reviews and support program execution across a diverse team. Additionally, they will: support the HCWS change process; review designs for producibility; process drawing changes needed by manufacturing; support the Courtland Production efforts including integration and testing; support LRHW integration and testing as required, support the LM manufacturing centers; support supply chain manufacturing; and review implementation of design changes into the production lines.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

In this role you will:
- Perform solid modeling using ProE/CREO design tool
- Create associated 2D drafting drawings required to produce/procure hardware
- Develop and maintain product designs and specifications associated with hardware, working with in-house manufacturing, ATLO, procurement, outside suppliers and parts engineering to determine applicable requirements
- Review requirements from various sources (dynamics, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of the products
- Work in a product development environment on new designs as well as supporting existing and heritage applications.
- Ability to work with in house manufacturing, ATLO, and outside suppliers to drive them to deliver critical program hardware that meets requirements within applicable cost and schedule constraints
- Local travel will be expected approximately 1-2 days per week
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and knowledge
- Mechanical design and/or integration knowledge
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling and drafting
- Familiarity of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Understanding of other engineering disciplines including stress, dynamics, thermal analysis, production, electronics, systems engineering, etc.
- Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance; US citizenship is required
- Strong Creo and CAD data management (EPDM) experience
- Flight hardware experience
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin specifications, tools, and procedures
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation
- Experience working with other LM operating units
- Hands-on hardware experience
- Experience working with suppliers
- Active clearance
