DAY-TO-DAY

This full-time technology development and engineering position typically works during the day.

As a Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing Developer, you're responsible for overseeing the designing, manufacturing, and delivery of our aeroglide dryers. You perform sizing calculations and select dryer components based on sales contracts and process specifications or standards. After referencing the project schedule, you align activities based on priority, supported budget hours, and scheduled due dates. You also respond to any questions or concerns that arise during the designing and manufacturing processes of our equipment.

In addition, you perform inspections of components, works-in-progress, and finished machinery. You provide the information required for equipment manuals to our technical document coordinator as well as verify content for accuracy and completion. As needed, you participate in project meetings with cross-functional team members, suppliers, or customers. You're quick to resolve any equipment issues that occur after items are delivered to customers to uphold satisfaction with our services. REQUIREMENTS FOR A MECHANICAL ENGINEER - MANUFACTURING DEVELOPER

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • n
  • 3+ years of experience designing and manufacturing OEM machines
  • n
  • Proficiency with engineering drafting and drawings as well as engineering principles and calculations, including the strength of materials, stress analysis, and dynamics
  • n
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and assembly practices, such as welding, sheet metal forming, and press operations
  • n
n

An understanding of industry and regulatory codes is preferred. Knowledge of ISO GPS dimensioning and tolerances, the 8D process, Windchill, Autodesk Inventor, or SAP would be a plus, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
