JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing plans and executing projects that support the broader short and long-term marketing brand strategies. Responsible for developing, managing, and analyzing marketing programs to achieve continuous market growth. Develop and implement marketing initiatives to ensure new and existing brands remain relevant to consumers, support the brand promise, and strengthen brand equity.
The Marketing Specialist will work closely and collaborate with Merchandising, Social & Digital Marketing, Ecommerce, Media Services & Creative, Operations, Partners and other areas ensuring brand strategies are aligned with sales objectives and revenue goals. Will establish and build business relationships with advertising agencies and product vendors as needed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Brand Planning – supports development of integrated marketing plans for the Zales brand. In partnership with the Brand Manager, leads the development of brand strategy and planning for to align with the Zales Brand Value Proposition.
Program Management and Execution – manages day-to-day coordination of brand programs from start to completion, including timeline management, budget management and marketing analysis. Assists in the implementation of campaign execution from briefing to final delivery of full funnel marketing support. Works closely with each department involved ensuring comprehensive, complete, and on-time execution.
Content Calendar – assists in developing the content strategy, ensuring priorities and content requests align with the overall Zales strategy. Manages the day-to-day coordination of content planning from start to completion, including timeline management, content intake, and cross functional coordination.
Watch Co-Op – leads the relationship with watch vendors for development of integrated marketing plans. Partners with vendor, media agency, and digital partners for strategic alignment and execution.
Business Results – works with Operations, Marketing Analytics and Business Partners/Vendors to track and report on all marketing tactics and metrics for the brands. Work collaboratively with agencies and internal resources to drive superior market results.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline required
Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of progressive Marketing experience recommended.
Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 2-3+ years recommended.
Technical/Other Skills Required:
Able to demonstrate outstanding Marketing skills and potential developed within Consumer Goods and/or Retail environments.
Experience in creating and developing marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns and brand programs.
Creative writing capability is necessary.
Strong analytical skills as well as communication and presentation skills required.
Superior project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
