We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager with proven expertise leading and developing a high-performance manufacturing team.

This visible leadership position is critical to the success of our manufacturing operations team. You will own product specific build schedule attainment and ensure overall customer success using a proactive approach. You will be a culture champion leading and motivating professionals in setting goals and driving achievement fostering and facilitating the professional development of your individual team members.

Your polished and adaptable communication skills and the ability to build a strong network of partnerships and gain buy-in will be essential as you manage client relationships and projects critical to our success. Well-developed organizational and time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and allocate resources are foundational for success in this role. You will utilize active listening, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues while working under pressure. You will be curious with a continuous improvement mindset always focused to identify opportunities for innovations optimizing production.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensures all quality related items for assigned areas are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
• Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
• Assists in scheduling for assigned areas so that production schedules are met.
• Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for assigned areas to optimize productivity.
• Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution of cells to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
• Monitors operations performance to maximize productivity.
• Assists in production innovation, including automation, to enhance production capabilities.
• Interfaces with customers (internal and possibly external) to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services.
• Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations functions.
• Delegate effectively to develop personnel and effectively balance the workload.
• Address employee issues/concerns and motivate the workforce to achieve department goals.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications/Experience Preferred:

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
• Proven experience building and leading a high performing team in an aerospace or complex highly regulated industry.
• Lean Six Sigma or CORE certification.
• Demonstrated success using Continuous Improvement principles (lean manufacturing, ACE, QCPC, etc.) to optimize production.
