Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor

General Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor will provide world-class customer service to your internal and external customers. With the title, Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you will be working under the direction of the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for the delivery of design/build project work, from conceptual design through drawing completion, along with supervising the engineering team.
This position will be based out of North Aurora, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Takes top-level drawings and provides clear details to Production for all the components, calculating material requirements, cutting sizes, and quantities, by following Company Standard Processes and Drawings.
- Create flat layouts to be used for CNC programming, when necessary
- Uses CNC Software and develops programs for Amada Punching Machines, insuring proper materials usage and work accuracy.
- Creates cut sheets for all the components.
- Creates and maintains Work Orders and Engineering Masers for Company’s ERP system.
- Attending daily meetings as support from the department.
- Schedule team meetings to track progress and concerns within the department.
- Supervise and train team members in the department.
- Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.
- Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
- Completes details and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering a plus.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication company.
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience supervising a team of 3+ people.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as Visual, JDE or SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of software programming skills in SQL and .Net
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, proven ability to consistently meet or exceed deadline expectations.
- Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
- Excellent technical aptitude, analytical and detail oriented. Technical ability to learn a diverse product line.
