General Scope and Summary
Sage Therapeutics is searching for a creative, collaborative, resourceful, and proactive Sales Operations Manager. In this position, you will be an integral contributor responsible for establishing and overseeing streamlined sales processes to ensure optimal operations of the commercial sales related teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
Field Alignment (25%):
Collaborate with People & Experience team on new hires, transfers, resignations, etc. to ensure timely and appropriate adjustments are made to the CRM alignment.
Collaborate with Insights & Analytics team on the pull-through of alignment updates.
Field Reporting (25%):
Understand and capture field reporting requirements.
Collaborate with IT and Insights team on the creation and pull-through of field reports.
Oversee data integration initiatives with Veeva CRM (field sales and access manager functions).
Train field team members on the content and usage of field reports.
Perform QA of reports and dashboards.
Field Support (30%):
Track, triage, and close out level 2 Veeva tickets for field related inquiries.
Identify areas of opportunity/knowledge gaps related to Veeva and field reports and develop a plan (e.g., training, reference guides, etc.) to remedy.
Ad-hoc and Project Work (20%):
Perform UAT testing activities for systems, reporting, and process enhancements or implementations.
Perform data analysis: trending and investigative.
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree required.
4+ plus years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, with 2+ years of experience specifically driving and executing sales operations related functions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Veeva CRM.
Up to 10% national travel required.
Prior experience managing complex operations projects in a face-paced, high-growth environment.
Experience with PowerBI reporting platform.
Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organization and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to analyze complex issues to develop realistic plans, programs, and recommendations.
Ability to communicate issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues.
Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders. An ability to influence for greater outcomes.
Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution-oriented.
Proven track record of successfully working with commercial and IT business partners to successfully design, deploy, and manage a field focused CRM (e.g., Veeva).
Demonstrated success in establishing/creating new operational processes and implementing across departments.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits and Compensation
The base salary hiring range for this position is $114,501 - $157,438.*- The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, education, skills, and performance.
- This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the bonus varies based on performance and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
