MANAGER, PROGRAM
Reports to: Senior Director, Education and Programs
Direct Reports: None
Status: Full Time Non-Exempt
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Manager, Programs is responsible for providing support for Cancer Support Community’s programmatic initiatives and projects. This role will assist in project development, implementation, and dissemination for the department. This position will identify ways in which current and future CSC materials can be used, enhanced, and adapted for larger and more diverse audiences. The Manager, Programs will assist in overall department operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for general oversight of all aspects of Cancer Transitions, including content creation, program dissemination, and expansion.
- Responsible for assisting in program operations of the Peer Clinical Trials Support Program including participant enrollment and follow-up.
- Assist with coordination of Employer Partner programming.
- Assist with HelpLine Webinar Coordination.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and dissemination of new projects as assigned.
- Assess needs and provide programmatic insights for medically underserved populations in the Partner Network.
- Collaborate with other CSC HQ Departments, Network Partners, and Helpline staff regarding implementation of CSC HQ programs.
- Review and update Program-related web content.
- Identify new funding sources and partnerships for the Department.
- Grant writing and proposal development and submission.
- Track funding and proposal data for the Department.
- Represent and support CSC at conferences and other events.
- Manage project contractors as assigned.
- Manage and supervise program interns as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
IMPORTANT SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in social science or related field, Masters degree in social science or public health a plus. 2-3 years of healthcare, clinical, or non-profit work experience necessary.
- Project management expertise required.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Track record of effective use of technology.
- Excellent listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong telephone and e-mail communication skills, including the ability to use tact and professionalism with a wide range of audiences.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Creative thinker.
- Keen attention to detail.

WORK LOCATION
CSC offers several options for where you may work. Position may be located at a CSC headquarters office in Washington, DC., or Philadelphia, on a full-time basis or on a hybrid (in office/ work from home) model. You may also choose to work remotely from any location in the United States.
