The Department of Community Health is seeking a qualified Manager for its Katie Beckett Unit. The Katie Beckett Manager is responsible for managing the day to day administrative and programmatic duties of the Katie Beckett Unit. This is a hybrid position that requires in-office and remote work with the approval of your supervisor. Your days of frequency in the office can change at any time during your employment based on the business needs of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Leads, evaluates, and assists with the development and administration of policies and programs of social service and community agencies, correctional institutions, rehabilitative services, and related programs that are designed to protect and promote the social welfare of individuals and communities. Directs subordinate managers and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversees programmatic timelines and quality standards for the team.
- Facilitates the resolution of member concerns and issues around eligibility determinations.
- Regularly prepares reports on the status of teamwork for the Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Two years of management of subordinate managers/supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Five years of experience, including three years of management of subordinate managers/supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Related certification AND
Two years of management of subordinate managers/supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Three years of experience at the lower level Mgr 2, Social Svcs
(SSM011) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in Healthcare, Public Administration, or other health-related fields.
- Training and experience in Aged, Blind, or Disabled Medicaid eligibility determination policy and procedures.
- Understanding of state and federal policies and regulations and their impact on eligibility determination in Georgia.
- Knowledge of Medicaid terminology.
- Experience working with State Policy unites and implementing policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal Medicaid regulations.
- Experience working with large teams and coordinating eligibility activities.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver superior customer service.
