Job description

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for general property upkeep to ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with an eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Check for burned out light bulbs throughout property
• Check pool house restrooms and empty trash as needed
• Check and straighten pool deck area and furniture
• Clean any litter from the grounds
• Clean litter from front entrance area and along front fence
• Clean post office area and sweep sidewalks as needed
• Check the recycle area for weeds and garbage
• Empty plastic bag collection container
• Pick up brush piles from cleanup projects only when directed by the Board
• Set trash and yard waste containers at the curb by work shed the day before trash pickup
• Note fire ants and treat in small areas – report large infestations
• Complete work orders requested by owners – review non-standard work orders with the board of directors or property manager
• Walk the grounds checking for problems with building, landscaping, or debris
• Inspect buildings for damage and any vermin damage or infestations. Report any issues to the property manager or the Board
• Friday - Clean pool bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, clean toilets and mirrors, refill supplies
• One building per week in rotation – walk building perimeter (note any electrical box issues, check exterior), clean front entrance ways and sidewalks. Clean any mud daubers, remove debris, and clean light fixtures as needed. Specific repairs to buildings performed by work order.

• Pool, use the leaf blower to clean deck when needed
• Clean and repair outer perimeter fencing where holes exist
• Clean carport roofs of debris and clogged gutters using a ladder
• Routine maintenance of golf cart, community trailer and tools as needed
• Report any damaged or broken sprinkler heads. (Only minor repairs to the irrigation system to prevent water waste).

Skills

• Proven experience in maintenance
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems is a plus
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• An active drivers license
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Siesta Key, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
