Venturi, LLC A Chenega Cmpany has an exciting career opportunity for a Maintenance Technician III who performs assignments not completely standardized or prescribed. The Maintenance Technician III selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents. The Maintenance Technician III receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed and performs recurring work independently.

Fleet maintenance for our Department of Defense customer includes the repair, fabrication, manufacture, rebuilding, assembly overhaul, modification, refurbishment, rebuilding, test, analysis, repair-process design, in-service engineering, upgrade, painting and disposal of parts, assemblies, subassemblies, components, or end items that require shop facilities, tooling, support equipment, and/or personnel of higher technical skills, or processes beyond the average level capability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform extremely high-profile work for the Department of Defense.
  • Construct components, subunits, or adapt standard equipment and troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
  • Follow specific layout, diagrams, and procedures to construct, maintain, operate, and package equipment.
  • Conduct various tests or operations which may require minor modifications in setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard equipment and maintain appropriate records of operations conducted.
  • Extract and compile a variety from operating procedures, written policies and regulations, field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors, or inconsistencies, and select proper procedures to complete tasks.
  • Assist process/procedural modification by compiling data related to assigned operations, specifications, and materials pertinent to assigned tasks.
  • Develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information and improve processes.
  • Provide semi-professional technical support, engineering, and analysis, working in such areas as:
  • Maintenance.
  • Transportation support.
  • Inventory/warehouse support.
  • Test and engineering operations.
  • Function independently to resolve problems and advise staff members to meet established objectives.
  • Perform maintenance and other logistics functions on fielded systems.
  • Maintain inventory, prepare order quantities, and track resupply activities.
  • Perform fleet planning, operation, and maintenance.
  • Prepare materials for shipping.
  • Conduct maintenance operations.
  • Operate test and diagnostic equipment.
  • Operate handling equipment.
  • Operate/drive various vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 13+ years of experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Interim secret security clearance
  • This position requires travel. Per a directive from our customer, the individual hired for this position must be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and must show evidence of vaccination upon hire
