Position Duties/Responsibilities
· * 5 years of experience performing facilities maintenance and/or electronic and mechanical troubleshooting/repairs in a heavy commercial industrial environment.
· OR
· * 3 years of experience performing facilities maintenance in heavy commercial industrial maintenance, AND2-Year A.S. Degree such as Industrial Maintenance Technology, Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronic Technology, or comparable content degree program.
Eligibility Requirements:
· Must be willing to work multiple shifts when needed.
· Must be willing to work emergency call-in repairs, holidays, weekends, and overtime on request and short notice.
· Must be comfortable working on elevated platforms and/or high places.
· In addition, all candidates must pass a standardized maintenance test.
· Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480 volts.
· Subject matter expert on all aspects of plant infrastructure, production equipment, and operations.
· Responsible for troubleshooting and returning equipment to service status.
· Develop work plans for non-standard facilities work.
· Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment using an analytical step-by-step process, standard maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
· Provide technical guidance and assistance as needed in the installation or rearrangement of production equipment, as well as general coaching to peers.
· Assist in on the job training activities of assigned processes.
· Actively participate in various technical and continuous improvement assignments from facilities leadership.
· Participate in various EH&S and ergonomic assessments of assigned processes.
· Responsible for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities related to plant operations.
· Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and general maintenance as needed in an industrial environment.
· Independently plan work assignments; perform duties with a minimum of direct supervision.
· Assist others in the general maintenance and operation of manufacturing processes, infrastructure, and grounds.
· Develop templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
· Scope materials and parts required to support preventative maintenance efforts, installations and repairs.
· Responsible for repairing floor, wall & ceiling tile, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, door assemblies & hardware and all other aspects of building & grounds maintenance.
· Maintains facilities equipment, tools, inventories, service calls, parts, supplies etc. Performs minor plumbing and electrical repairs, contacts external vendors for support repairs (when required).
· Keeps management advised of status of repairs, special projects and implementation schedules.
· Reduces costs associated with facility equipment repairs by proactively planning and organizing assigned service order requests. Escalates proper assignment of service requests to external services, when necessary.
