Our Allenton location offers high-pressure aluminum die cast products. Die-casting is a versatile process for producing metal parts by forcing molten metal under pressure into steel molds or dies. Using this process, we can produce complex shape products with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability.

Position Summary:
Boyd Corporation is seeking to add a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Die Maintenance Technician
Our business is quickly growing, and great team members are the foundation for our success. In a nutshell, our Die Technicians are responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the die cast tooling necessary for our manufacturing processes. Ability to work as a team and good communication skills are key components for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance to shot rods, high pressure die cast tooling and trim dies.
- Prepare tooling in agreement with procedures
- Complete shop paperwork accurately and as directed
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Must support and follow the QMS requirements
- Observe all Boyd safety and OSHA guidelines and procedures
- Any other duties as assigned
Preferred Knowledge & Qualifications
- Must be able to perform advanced mathematics and be able to use a calculator.
- Ability to read, complete, and analyze general business and shop paperwork.
- Can effectively present information and respond to questions/requests from managers, employees, and customers.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and communicate with employees professionally at all times.
- Must be able to be company certified on forklift operation.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or touch tools, equipment and/or controls.
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities are required for this job and include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision and ability to focus
