We currently have a night shift opening for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/ Electrician for our Waterloo, IA Facility. This facility manufactures corrugated packaging products for local and national customers.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining production equipment to optimize reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of machines. Candidates for consideration should have troubleshooting skills in industrial, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correct those failures.

Candidates are also expected to utilize both excellent mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and electrical/electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in our continuous process-manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics. Accurately completing administrative documents and following directions are important work traits. Familiarity with SAP is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate technical experience, reliability and the ability to work independently as well as working as part of a team.

Candidates must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends and overtime as required. Must have own tools- industry specific tools supplied.

Minimum qualifications for consideration are a high school degree (or equivalent experience) and five years of maintenance experience with at least one year with the same employer.

Highly-qualified candidates would possess a technical degree or apprenticeship certification and maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or similar manufacturing environment.

Starting pay will be $28.75/hour to $36.00 /hour based upon skill level and service experience. There is great potential for future promotional opportunities based upon performance and demonstrated skills.

Candidates selected for further processing will be required to complete a computerized battery of tests on job-related skills, a hands on interview, background check, drug screen, and pre-employment health assessment.
