Job description
Avondale House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency that provides, educational services to individuals with autism, a day habilitation program for adults, where clients receive training in daily living skills and pre-vocational activities, employment services and four group homes for individuals unable to live in their own home.

Job Duties:
- Identifies and develops specifications for maintenance and repairs.
- Performs repairs at the school and group homes, e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting.
- Maintains adequate inventory of all necessary supplies and parts for maintenance, custodial, grounds, and transportation areas.
- Regularly inspects all work areas for possible safety risk.
- Maintains transportation fleet scheduled maintenance and ensures detailed records are maintained.
- Cooperates with administration and faculty to accommodate and facilitate programmatic needs.
- Processes generated work orders and updates status of completion
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to take initiative in planning and starting work activities.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a similar capacity.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting/Moving up to 50 lbs and lifting moving up to 100 plus lbs with assistance.
- Ability to stand on your feet for 6-8 hours at a time.
- Stooping, kneeling, pushing and pulling may be required in this position.
