Job Summary

Experienced Licensed Electricians will primarily respond to service calls from residential homeowners throughout Southeast Michigan and perform all aspects of the diagnosis, installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of the electrical systems throughout residential homes. Providing exceptional customer service with an emphasis on quality work, performed efficiently and following all applicable company training.

What Will I Do?

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Licensed Electrician will respond to service calls from residential homeowners across Southeast Michigan.
  • Diagnosing and repairing residential electrical applications, diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using equipment and tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Install, Service, repair, and/or replace electrical systems within residential homes:
  • Wiring and rewiring, Appliance Circuit Installation and Repair, Vehicle Charging/EV charger Installation, Security Lighting and Home Automation, All Appliance Circuits, Accent Lighting, Arc Fault Protection, Ceiling Fan Installation, Recessed Lighting and Light Fixtures, Switches and Dimmers, Outlets and GFI Circuits, Landscape Lighting, Security Lighting, Panel Upgrades, Smoke Detectors, Carbon Monoxide Detectors, Surge Protection, Entire Electrical System Safety Inspections, Main Panel Board Inspections, etc
  • Properly use the company price guide to accurately estimate projects in alignment with company training
  • Establish rapport with clients and sell the right services, assisting in buying decisions based on client needs
  • Have residential homeowner sign necessary paperwork and collect payment as directed.
  • Electronically document projects and work completed utilizing the company provided Electrical Home Service software, Service Line.
  • Increase customer loyalty by maintaining a clean working area, well-groomed appearance and clean uniform
  • Perform service consistent with and exceeding National Electrical Code Standards
  • Maintain a neat, clean, well inventoried and organized company vehicle at all times.
  • Participate actively and cooperating with all training exercises and meetings
  • Additional duties as assigned

Do I Have What It Takes?

  • Current Journeyman or Master Electrician License is REQUIRED
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • 5+ years’ experience in the electrical trade with experience in electrical wiring, repair and troubleshooting all aspects of the Residential Electrical System preferred
  • Residential Electrical service experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills and interest in a customer facing electrician position
  • Demonstrable working knowledge and skills for electrical installation, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment within a residential customers’ home.
  • Understanding of the current regulations and codes within the field
  • Time Management Skills, coachable and eager to learn new skills
  • Self-starter, reliable and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to lift (50-75 pounds) and work in outside elements of heat and cold safely on ladders and /or roofs medium to high heights
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Ability to travel as required to company service area which may include: Auburn Hills, Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, Bloomfield areas, Birmingham, Clarkston, Clawson, Dryden, Franklin, Farmington areas, Goodison, Harper Woods, Huntington Woods, Lakeville, Lake Orion, Lake Angelus, Macomb, Metamora, Oakland, Oakland Township, Orchard Lake, Ortonville, Pleasant Ridge, Rochester areas Romeo, Royal Oak, Shelby, Sterling Heights, Sylvan Lake, Troy, Utica, Washington
