We have immediate openings for experienced Lead Painters! Pay range for this position is $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.*

Murphy Bros. is an award-winning, full-service residential remodeling company that's been in business since 1983! We serve clients based throughout the 7-county metro area (Anoka, Washington, Ramsey, Hennepin, Carver, Scott, and Dakota), and have grown to become one of the area's most trusted remodelers. This position will be directed out of our paint shop in Minneapolis.

As the Lead Painter, you are not only applying finishes every day, setting the quality standards for others to follow, but also serving as the on-site manager for each painting project that you are assigned to - responsible for the overall quality of work, assigning tasks to and the performance/behavior of painting subcontractors, painters, and laborers and the appearance of your job site. While reporting to the assigned project manager for your job, one of your top priorities will be to keep the project on schedule, using your project management knowledge and experience in the application of paints, wood finishes, and specialty coatings to make key decisions/adjustments in the field.

Ideal candidates will have the following:*

• 6 or more years of experience in painting, spraying, & project management
• Ability to develop production plans including assessment of material, labor, and equipment needs
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Tactful in addressing complaints with homeowners
• Dependable transportation and skilled at advanced paint tools
• A good delegator without being a micro-manager
• Punctual & conscientious
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass drug screen and criminal background check
