Wollborg Michelson is seeking an experienced Lead Interaction Designer located in California. This position is remote but will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Summary
Responsible for interaction design work such as navigational structures, information maps, and working prototypes to fulfill functional and user requirements for web-based content and applications. The Lead Interaction Designer collaborates with visual designers, user experience analysts, and product managers to define the user experience strategy, spearhead a user centered design process and develop usable, useful and compelling website experiences. You will identify target audience and objectives, analyze needs, set scope and interface strategies providing project teams with functional templates, prototype and site maps to be used as a blueprint for graphic design, content and technical development. May oversee the planning and execution of web projects, project schedules and collaboration among project owners, contributors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Assignments are very broad in nature and of the highest level of complexity. Able to impact beyond area of responsibility.

  • Identifies needs and solutions; analytics
  • May instruct, guide and oversee work of lower-level professionals; Oversee the activities of more than one product or production process area.
  • Consults and makes recommendations to management on significant issues.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing new business processes, products and/or solutions in conjunction with implementing new/existing customer service approaches and/or technologies.
  • Responsible for online services definition/delivery/adoption/usage and/or production management processes/products including day-to-day performance, accuracy, operation, understanding, support and maintenance
  • Plays lead role in the development, implementation, enhancement, utilization and knowledge of eBusiness products and/or production processes.
  • Analyzes, develops, optimizes workflow guidelines/policies/procedures and works to assure they are clearly communicated.
  • Recognized (by outside departments/ organizations) as eBusiness product or production management lead specialist/expertDesign compelling product experiences based on customer needs.
  • Clear communication of design specifications to empower engineering team.
  • Maintain consistent user experiences and visual standards across different solutions.

Qualifications

  • Define and build design specifications in Figma.
  • Help conduct UX research, usability testing through A/B testing and click tests in UserZoom.
  • Work with and Agile team and have strong communication skills iterating with Product and Project managers.
  • Process division and various other expense invoices utilizing Oracle uploads.
  • Perform journal entries, including reclassifications and accruals.
  • Perform research and analysis when necessary.
  • Communicate with division personnel, vendors, and other employees.
  • File, sort, organize, and box invoice batches.

Experience

  • UX Design – 3 years minimum
  • Strong communication
  • Strong design flow and prototyping skills
  • App and responsive web experience preferred
  • Knowledge of front-end code preferred

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Design degree or reasonable experience
