Madisonhealth is seeking a Laboratory General Manager for its 69-bed, not-for-profit, county-owned hospital providing healthcare services to the populations of Madison County and surrounding areas. The General Manager, under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Services, will be responsible for ensuring processes in the hospital Laboratory and off-site clinic Laboratory are in accordance with accepted national standards (CLIA, NIAHO, DNV, CMS, etc.) and organizational policies.

The incumbent will be involved in daily activities including, but not limited to planning for current and future organizational needs within their scope, organizing materials and staff allowing Madisonhealth to reach our mission to provide professional and compassionate healthcare to those we serve, and implementing strategies to ensure fiscal responsibility of resources, as well as effective delegation and mentoring in a participative environment.

The incumbent will be a key resource to the Director of Diagnostic Services as they work together to advance relationships between the organization and physicians, other Madisonhealth departments, and patrons; creating environments of transparency in healthcare.

The Laboratory General Manager will need to be aware of and utilize the talent of the department?s personnel, instilling trust by being approachable, and demonstrating the ability to give constructive and useful feedback regarding job performance in conjunction with the Director. As a leader in the department, the General Manager must be an example of the Madisonhealth values of Integrity, Initiative, Teamwork, Respect and Caring.
