Kennel Assistant

We are searching for a reliable, attentive, and hard working kennel attendant to oversee the well-being of the animals in our care to work 20 hours a week, 4 hour shifts 5 days a week including weekends and holidays. Shifts run 6am to 10am or 4pm to 8pm with at least three morning shifts required a week. This is a part time position and a great opportunity for supplemental pay for a student or someone who is retired.
To ensure success as a kennel attendant, you should be able to anticipate and tend to the needs of animals. Ultimately, a top-notch kennel attendant will be able to tailor their care according to animals' physical, emotional, and behavioral needs. Our ideal kennel tech would have some level of experience handling dogs, whether that be in a kennel tech, vet tech, dog walking service or previous dog boarding/daycare position.
Kennel Assistant Responsibilities:
Following a set schedule and Clocking in/out, at a timely manner.
Assist with administrative tasks duties such as answering phones, emails etc. with good customer service.
Must be proficient enough with technology to be able to navigate our booking software.
Must be able to adapt and be flexible in a fluid environment.
Transporting animals to and from the kennels on leash.
Ensuring that the animals have ample, fresh food and water and bedding at all times.
Cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair, and other debris from the kennels.
Disposing of trash in a timely manner.
Sanitation at the end of the day including but not limited to dishes, laundry, sweeping and mopping.
Assist with bathing and nail grooming of clients.
Savannah, GA 31415: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Position will require, lifting over 50 lbs, bending, kneeling and being able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
Other duties to be determined by supervisor/management.
