Description of Duties:

The Jr. JIRA Server Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Collaborate on customizing the JIRA based on the work management standards, manage license availability, monitor server health, apply patches as needed and contribute to the successful growth of the system usage throughout the enterprise.
• Install and configure JIRA, Confluence, and Align.
• Manage available disk space.
• Test and apply application patches as needed.
• Verify STIG compliance.
• Participate in server design meetings.
• Respond to requests and trouble tickets within the Remedy ticketing system.
• Perform similar actions in classified environment.

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

This position is expected to pay $83,000 - $93,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 1 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 0 years of general experience.

• Must have 2 years of directly related experience in an engineering field.
• Must have knowledge of JIRA or similar system.
• Must be able to be on site frequently in either Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, AL
• Must have, or obtain, an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Have experience customizing JIRA projects with various issue types, schemas, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
• Have experience writing automation scripts.
• Have the ability to construct custom dashboards and advanced filters
• Have the experience practicing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery end to end using Atlassian tools.
