AVIAN’s strategic vision is to be the premier provider of engineering, test & evaluation, systems acquisition, integration, information warfare and in-service sustainment to the DoD, DHS and select civilian agencies. To support this vision, we are looking for a Jr. Capture Manager to focus on the Naval Air Systems Command market.

- Work with growth team to acquire customer and competitive intelligence.
- Assist with new business and growth opportunities in existing markets.
- Interact with potential customers and business partners in person and virtually. Develop a rapport with key decision makers.
- Identify and research opportunities in existing markets.
- Using knowledge acquired from customer interaction, assist with developing and presenting proposals customized for each customers’ specific needs.
- Attend events that support existing markets.
- Liaise with AVIAN and subcontractor technical SMEs.
- Participate in proposal phases, activities, and milestones including the kickoff meeting, teammate meetings, data calls, brainstorming sessions, informal proposal reviews.
- Assist in execution of Color Teams.
- Assist in proposal strategy development; define, and help articulate win themes, strengths, and discriminators.
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with the Shipley process
- Familiarity with SharePoint
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team.
- Demonstrated ability to perform critical thinking.
- Three (3) years of Navy/USMC military or DoD govt. services experience supporting Naval Aviation in the Patuxent River, MD area
- Required: bachelor’s degree
- This position is hybrid with a work location in Southern Maryland.
