Responsibilities and Duties

The duties of a Janitor include but are not limited to the following responsibilities and other job assignments:

• Clean restrooms
• Replenish restrooms
• Empty trash
• Clean tables in rooms
• Vacuum offices, common areas
• Clean interior glass
• Dust partitions, cabinets and vents
• Mop floors
• Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing/pulling and kneeling while cleaning
• Strong attention to detail required

• Stack Pallets
• Perform general clean- up of all areas of the building as directed
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space (mowing, weed eating) and parking lot
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
• Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
• Performs daily general housekeeping and janitorial tasks to keep both shop and office spaces clean and orderly.
• Organize, attention to detail, inventory control skills and teamwork.

• Experience safely operating in a shop environment
• Washes and cleans heavy equipment
• Safely operates high-powered pressure washing system
• Gather and empty trash from warehouse facility into dumpster. Clean 55-gallon shop trash cans as needed.
• Warehouse cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, picking up pallets and trash throughout the shift
• Wear PPE at all times safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.
• Responsibilities include keeping the building and grounds neat, clean, free from clutter and safe from hazards.
• Clean and sanitize break rooms to include fridges and microwaves
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Clean windows, shop floor, loading areas and maintain cleanliness of parking lot.
• Responsible for trash collection inside and outside of the building
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and other necessities
• Perform minor maintenance duties
• Maintain and execute preventative maintenance schedule to include: dusting and sanitizing workstations, cleaning refrigerators, deep cleaning of work areas, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of up to 50 lbs.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and carry for extended period of time several times during one shift.
