Position Overview : :
The Program Coordinator’s :primary responsibilities are coordinating volunteer engagements and providing opportunities for our students to learn from and engage with technology, IT professionals, and other leaders in the community to support their growth in our workforce system and programs. The Program Coordinator will work to support our programs and students as they make meaningful career changes. :
Position Location : :
This position will share time in our Philadelphia, PA, and Wilmington, DE classrooms, with some local or regional travel as needed to support our programs and events. :
Position Description : :
A successful Program Coordinator coordinates volunteers, provides direction and support for all volunteer functions, as well as ensuring that programs have both the volunteer support and engagement needed to run effectively. The Programs Coordinator will build long-term relationships with our volunteers and partners, and act as a central point person to handle volunteer and program requests on an ongoing basis. The Program Coordinator is well-connected to ITWorks and CXWorks participants. This position will frequently interact with students, instructors, and staff across programs to support and connect students to resources. This position will also provide ongoing support monitoring in the areas of attendance and coursework. The Program Coordinator should be prepared to provide guidance and make appropriate referrals or connections to outside agencies for students and brokers’ support to eliminate access barriers.

`Volunteer Coordination : :
- Lead coordination of volunteers, volunteer logistics, and coordination across our East Coast workforce ITWorks and CXWorks Programs.
- Assist with the recruitment of volunteer partners, respond to volunteer interest, maintain relationships with, and identify appropriate volunteers and solicit needed volunteers for Lunch and Learns, mentoring, and Friday Sessions, and other volunteer engagement activities.
- Maintain regular contact with volunteers, acknowledging their contributions, and identifying ways to grow engagement.
- Bridge student and classroom program needs with volunteer and funder needs.
`General Organization and Programs Support : :
- Provide consultation, support, and wraparound resources to address the needs of students and make referrals to the appropriate resources, both internal and external.
- Schedule and deliver individual support meetings with each participant throughout the course delivery.
- Lead coordination of special events, graduations, and meetings.
- Maintain knowledge of and support staff regarding grant reporting and outcomes.
- Manage tracking and ordering of program and classroom supplies for both locations.
- Support course activity for IT Works and CXWorks as needed, such as regular appearances at orientation and course delivery for relationship development with the participants and instructors.
- Interface with and support the mentor/mentee relationship during program delivery.
- Ensure accurate and timely program data entry and reporting.
Preferred Skills and Experience :
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships, maintain social perceptiveness and empathy, and resilience, along with the skill to assess situations and create solutions.
- 1-3 years of constituent relationship development experience (with clients, volunteers, employers etc.) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with CRM (customer relationship management) databases, and LMS (Learning Management Systems) is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working at a nonprofit is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
