Inventory Specialist – Orthopedic Spine

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for high levels of inventory control in a fast-paced environment. This person will be involved in a wide variety of tasks including inventory system work, counting parts, labeling, moving, running audits, and processing ingoing and outgoing shipments.
Essential Functions
- Performs in-house cycle counts, distribution cycle counts, weekly empty location audits and reports results to operations.
- Interprets and reconciles inventory reports. Investigates all inventory errors and report results to operations manager.
- Collect daily inventory activity data by use of various PC applications and inventory management system.
- Investigates and reconciles all inventory management system generated suspense file items.
- Assists in the preparation and execution of the quarterly physical inventory.
- Verifies out of stock items for distribution operation.
- Assists in processing items required to be restocked.
- Follows all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
- Performs various other duties as assigned.
- Customer Service:
- Prepare sets for surgery.
- Coordinate with Surgical Support Representatives and customers to ensure their needs are met.
Experience
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an inventory role.
- Experience in medical devices or medical products highly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience handling medical implants.
