Inventory Specialist – Orthopedic Spine

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for high levels of inventory control in a fast-paced environment. This person will be involved in a wide variety of tasks including inventory system work, counting parts, labeling, moving, running audits, and processing ingoing and outgoing shipments.

Essential Functions

• Performs in-house cycle counts, distribution cycle counts, weekly empty location audits and reports results to operations.
• Interprets and reconciles inventory reports. Investigates all inventory errors and report results to operations manager.
• Collect daily inventory activity data by use of various PC applications and inventory management system.
• Investigates and reconciles all inventory management system generated suspense file items.
• Assists in the preparation and execution of the quarterly physical inventory.
• Verifies out of stock items for distribution operation.
• Assists in processing items required to be restocked.
• Follows all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
• Performs various other duties as assigned.
• Customer Service:
• Prepare sets for surgery.
• Coordinate with Surgical Support Representatives and customers to ensure their needs are met.

Experience

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an inventory role.
• Experience in medical devices or medical products highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience handling medical implants.
