PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for assuring the daily and monthly reports generated by Inventory Control are accurate and issued on a timely basis.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and assure the daily and monthly reports generated by Inventory Control are accurate and issued on a timely basis
  • Review daily reports issued by Inventory Control
  • Assist in monitoring the budget and reconciling all assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities for Inventory Control to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Maintain all files that pertain to the accuracy of reports that are issued by Inventory Control
  • Perform physical inventory in Warehouses
  • Assist with the completion of all month-end financial closing procedures and analysis related to COS
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Able to lead and mentor a team (Supervisor and above with supervision authority)
  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail and maintain filing system
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of work experience in accounting and/or finance related areas
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

PREFERRED:

  • Six (6) years of work experience in accounting and/or finance related areas
  • One (1) year of experience in an Inventory Control and/or Warehouse environment
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting
