POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining and tracking raw materials and in process inventory levels to meet production goals. Maintain accuracy of inventory levels and costing in accounting software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform physical inventory counts on items as needed or per schedule, and adjust in accounting software. Communicate any concerns with material levels that are found in physical counts.
  • Use planned monthly production schedules and forecasts to outline delivery schedules for major raw materials as required by specific Vendors. Communicate plans to management for approval and communicate approved schedules to Vendors as required.
  • Track and communicate any issues with delivery schedules as quickly as possible and assist in planning recovery from any delays at the Vendor.
  • Provide Production Managers with Production Releases of raw material into the system based on planned schedules.
  • Coordinate with Quality Department for incoming material Quality Checks on required items before being used in production.
  • Update finished goods inventories and build assemblies in accounting software daily.
  • Maintain inventory items in accounting software, ensure that items are entered correctly, and all details are accurate. Ensure active and inactive items are up to date. Ensure that Item ID’s are consistent with format and item costing is setup properly.
  • Coordinate with Program Director, Purchasing Admin., and Engineering to ensure that Bill of Materials for assembly items are accurate and up to date. Administrate changes to BOM as required. Update finished goods item costs monthly in Master Ship File.
  • Assist in Administrative functions as required, as related to purchasing, inventory or production.

  • Highly Organized • Communication Proficiency
  • Intermediate Computer Experience •

Valid Driver’s License

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the following areas is recommended for this position:

  • 1-3 Years of experience counting and managing inventory.
  • 1-3 Years of experience in production and warehouse environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Factory, office •

Increased noise levels in factory.

  • Ambient temperature between -10◦F and 100◦F
