Messner Reeves LLP, an established full-service, business law firm, with 11 offices nationwide, seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Associate to join our well-established and award-winning practice in Colorado.
This is perfect opportunity for those with insurance defense experience, but want better rates and less red tape and bureaucracy!
At Messner Reeves, we believe that the best way for lawyers to advance their careers is through experience. With that, you can expect to be given as much responsibility over their cases as you want (including trials).
What we are looking for:

• 4-6+ years of litigation experience (defense side highly preferred)
• Experience in the defense of a wide variety of claims (auto, premises liability, wrongful death, etc.)
• Ambitious attorneys that want to not only provide their clients with the best possible representation, but also want to grow their practice in a full-service firm
• Desire to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, handling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines
• Admitted to practice in the state Colorado.

Due to the high volume of work spanning a large geography, you’ll also have the opportunity to travel to numerous locations throughout the state for hearings and trial.
Requirements:

• Experience handling all phases of complex commercial and civil litigation matters.
• Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines.
• Experience drafting, responding to written discovery and dispositive motions.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Candidates who have experience preparing witnesses.
• Strong ethics, professionalism, and communication skills.
• Superior analytical and legal research skills.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically.
• Licensed to practice law in Colorado.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
