Do you have experience in providing maintenance, troubleshooting of PLC, processing instrumentation, electrical equipment, and generator controls? If so, then apply today to be considered for this vital role within the organization!
What you will do:
  • Provide troubleshooting skills across multiple interphases of equipment.
  • Test, calibrate instrumentation including pressure, level and temperature transmitters and control valves.
  • Ensure that all pertinent records are accurate, current and that preventative maintenance schedules are timely
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge safety Policies and procedures and act in accordance with hem at all times.
  • Learn the operations of more complex equipment and procedures
  • Participate in design reviews and PHA’s with the ability to decipher P&ID’s, wire diagrams and one- line drawings.
  • The technician will be required to complete all mandatory training per Enbridge, PSM and DOT regulations.
  • Willing to work a 7/7 schedule on land in Venice La.
  • Meg a 480 and 4160 Generator, understand generator synchronization and safety controls
  • Willing to work from an 80 ft. manlift when required.
  • Ability to work SIMOP with operations and mechanic to resolve sophisticated equipment problems.
  • The technician will fill out safe work permits and perform a safety meeting before any work starts on the platform.
Who you are:
You have:
  • An Associates degree in a relevant technical field, such as: Electrical, Electrical Engineering or Electronic Technology, or related field/equivalent education and/or experience
  • 3-5 years of electrical/instrumentation experience in an industrial type setting or the equivalent experience necessary to perform the required tasks of a technician level 2 on a standalone basis
You can:
  • Provide temporary assistance to offshore IE as required
You are:
  • Proficient in NFPE 70E Code & Arc Flash Safety including medium voltage
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, be on call/standby and travel overnight
The following are considered assets:
  • Basic or above function knowledge of Alen Bradly PLC and latter logics.
  • Generator trouble shooting experience
Working Conditions:
  • The selected candidate will work a 12 hour day on a 7&7 schedule on land in Venice, LA. Crew Changes will happen on Wednesdays.
  • Technicians will need to be physically able to climb a lot of stairs daily and will be exposed to heat and cold during the different seasons.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, extended hours, respond to callouts if needed on days off and work holidays (if holidays fall on your schedule). #joinourteam
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
