Information Protection Entry:

• Coordinates the Information Protection program for all BMW locations in the Americas region specifically addressing the availability, integrity, and confidentiality aspects, which may affect security of information within and external to the BMW locations and its suppliers.
• Coordinates the risk management process for objects requiring information protection to include: identification and description of objects (process expertise, data/information, prototypes, images, etc.), the weaknesses and threats of these objects, and evaluation of damage probability.
• Supports the production areas in the Americas region in a cross functional capacity.
• Coordinates the comprehensive program for information protection of prototype vehicle.
• Communicates findings for the business impact in the event of loss of confidentiality, integrity, or availability of these protected objects.
• Serves as the liaison for Information Protection delegates in BMW USA/Canada, Brazil and Mexico locations. Serves as primary contact for colleagues and representatives of information protection awareness.
• Collaborates with the Information Technology departments and the audit functions within the BMW USA/Canada, Brazil, Mexico and AG Group locations in regards to information protection and information security.
• Communicates implemented BMW Group guidelines and procedures for information protection in the Americas regions.
• Briefs management at all levels on the details of incidents and the need for protection of data, information and developing trends.
• Conducts periodic systems audits to maintain data integrity and coordinates audits of departments for compliance.
• Assists in investigations related to electronic information gathering for Americas region.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Information Security, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field; or the equivalent of 4 years related professional experience.
• 1+ years of professional experience or 6 months of participation in a co-op/internship in information security, risk management, corporate security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• 1+ years knowledge of system security profiles and authorization processes.
• 1+ years knowledge of Security and Business Risk Management.
• Basic ability to communicate clearly and effectively to different target groups including various management levels.
• Basic ability to work in a multi-cultural, remote, and virtual team environment.
