*This position is a remote role, however, there will be some occasional onsite expectations. The candidate may be asked to come on site during the interview and onboarding process also.*
Position Summary:
Develop, implement, and lead the on-going maintenance of the Company's content management software tools by analyzing cross-departmental content needs. Create and modify plugins to support global content creation and delivery on multiple platforms. Code, modify, and debug web-based content using HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). Maintain an advanced understanding of software development techniques, technologies, and best practices to support global audiences and marketplaces.
Responsibilities:
Information Architecture
Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand content structure, organization, and delivery needs. Perform content inventories and audits to ensure alignment with global content practices and standards. Define, implement, and communicate specializations to content models, the component content management system, and other software tools. Configure metadata and taxonomies to support content classification, findability, and search in the content management system and delivery platforms. Assist in testing new features, functionality, and enhancements to the CCMS.
Software Development
Develop, modify, and test workflows, plugins, and system integrations to support omni-channel content delivery and desktop-publishing automation. Recommend and implement modifications as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the content software ecosystem and communicate resolutions to users of all skill levels. Create and structure HTML for content published to the web from the Component Content Management System (CCMS). Code, modify, and debug web-based content using HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS. Stay informed of best practices in software development techniques and technologies. Confer with third-party software suppliers as needed.
Department Processes & Training
Create release notes, system documentation, and testing results to improve software processes. Create reference material for third-party suppliers and system integrators. Clearly communicate new processes and requirements to all departments involved. Demonstrate new software features and train users as needed. Provide peer guidance and support in advanced content management tasks, including plugin creation and modification, and error troubleshooting. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
2-4 years' related experience
Bachelor’s degree (Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Management of Information Systems, Computer Programming)
Preferred Qualifications
Three years’ experience with programming languages including Javascript, HTML, and CSS. Knowledge of component content management systems and translation management systems. Advanced research, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. Excellent written/verbal communication, project management, and organizational skills.
