We are seeking an (RN) in Infection Prevention for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

  • You are responsible for identifying health and safety risk factors associated with a hospital environment which may impact illnesses or injuries associated with patients and/or healthcare workers.
  • You will assist with administering Environmental Health Programs in collaboration with, all departments, Management Leadership and designated hospital committees.
  • You will demonstrate strong knowledge set in regard to infection prevention and is a point of contact resource for patients and/or family members, employees and physicians.
  • You will coordinate appropriate follow-up and reporting of communicable diseases, patterns of illnesses, and injuries for both the healthcare worker and the patient as assigned by the Environmental Health Manager.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding patient care.

What qualification you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field is required.
  • If a nurse, Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
  • Preferred Board Certification in Infection Control or degree in Public Health
  • One-year recent clinical experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Office
  • Bachelors Degree
  • NCA Certified Lab Specialist, or Medical Lab Scientist, or Registered Nurse

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
