Enter faxed information into Order Facilitator. Index the orders that are received in OF from physician’s office so that procedures can be scheduled and orders retrieved by the admitting department. Indexes all patient records. Review orders to ensure that the order is a legal order. Answers telephone, takes information requests and supplies factual information concerning medical records to doctors, other staff members and outside facilities. Performs a variety of related clerical duties including retrieving medical records, typing, etc. as requested by supervisor. Must be able to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations. High School graduate or GED equivalent required. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
