The Carrier Relationships group within the Global Logistics Department is a cross-functional supply chain capability that collaborates with various internal and external departments to provide administrative and carrier management support to all divisions of the transportation network; including: imports, domestic inbound, and outbound. Carrier Relationships supports all modes of transport; including: Less-Than-Truckload, Truckload, Intermodal/Rail, Ocean, Port Drayage, and Pool Distribution. The Inbound Freight Audit & Expense Analyst will be responsible to ensure timely & accurate funding of transportation invoices, transportation expense visibility, reporting, accuracy of contract rate tables in TMS and Freight Audit & Pay systems.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with US Bank Auditors, Carrier Accounts Receivable Teams, and Logistics Operations Teams to ensure online invoice exception queues are resolved timely.
- Develop & Implement suite of performance metrics for optimal visibility to timely invoice payment, US Bank auditor SLA’s, and carrier invoice accuracy.
- Regularly reconcile Carrier aging reports to ensure good standing and accurate expense accruals.
- Partner with Supply Chain Analytics & Budgeting team to accurately forecast impact of rate changes and anticipated expense variances.
- Act as administrator of contract rate repositories in TMS and FAP systems.
- Draw datasets from US Bank repository in support of internal analysis objectives & transportation procurement events.
- Facilitate EDI integrations between 3rd-Party carriers and software providers.
- Complete other projects and responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience in transportation/supply chain required.
- Retail-specific supply chain experience preferred.
- Prior experience working in an outsource freight audit & pay environment; US Bank a plus.
- Experience utilizing key performance indicator metrics to benchmark/track performance.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify key trends & root causes
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing and manipulating large datasets.
- Proven grasp of finance and accounting concepts.
