In-House Counsel Job Summary

Silicon Ledger is looking for In-House counsel to lead our legal efforts with clients regarding contracts and debt collection efforts. You will serve in a key role advising our team across the full spectrum of payments, credit reporting and debt collection activities, as well as customer communications and contact strategy, up to and including any litigation efforts.

In-House Counsel Key Responsibilities

• Give accurate and timely counsel to management about legal matters in regards to collections
• Work to successfully and legally collect receivables that are owed to the company
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties, including clients, regulators, and external counsel, creating relations of trust
• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation

In-House Counsel Knowledge / Skills

• Proven experience as a legal counsel in the area of collections
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of collections law and procedures
• Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information
• Current technology and application knowledge is a must

• The ideal candidate will be available to work extended/flexible hours
• This position will require candidate to primarily work from the office, but some work-from-home flexibility included
