Position Purpose:
Stericycle has a challenging career opportunity available at the Corporate HQ in Bannockburn, IL for a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to support the company’s IT function. Reporting to the Director FP&A – Corporate Shared Services, this role will provide planning, forecasting and month end support for on-going operations as well as support adhoc analysis and projects.


This position will require you to work a hybrid work schedule, reporting to our Bannockburn, IL office and the ability to work from home!

Key Job Activities:

• Perform month end close and timely analysis of current results and historical trends for IT.
• Perform forecasting, long-range planning and budget activities for IT.
• Perform and support ad hoc analysis, including project business cases/ IRR/NPV analysis.
• Perform IT project tracking, assessment and insight into the financial split of operating and capital expenses.
• Execute on initiatives that create value through cost management, process improvements, and/or improve the quality of deliverables to stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of the company’s new ERP system.
• Participate on and/or lead cross functional teams.
• Provide ad hoc support to Corporate FP&A team.

Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial roles, including 2+ years of accounting experience and 1+ year of financial/operational analytical experience.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills, with attention to details and follow up.
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, meet or exceed deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and to interface effectively with all levels of the company.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial results and the impact of proposed business decisions.
• Ability to identify problems and areas of improvement and suggest possible causes and solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong organization and project management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and SAP, a plus.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
MBA and/or CPA, a plus
Experience working with an IT function, a plus


Certifications and/or Licenses:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
