Zions Bancorp has just opened an opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst based in the Greater Salt Lake City area. This position is part of the Human Resources team and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, complex calculations, and detailed reporting. Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to :

Build and maintain logic for incentive pay calculations.
Develop reports for end users and management teams.
Perform application troubleshooting and make recommendations for improvements and changes.
Work with vendor as needed to resolve issues.
Facilitate new change management requests and post change validations.
Follow development life cycle for various environments.
Manage and monitor application integrations with other systems.
Coordinate scheduled reporting and monitor job processing.
Perform project management functions.

Be adaptable and take on additional assignments as needed.
Respect, protect and safeguard confidential data.

What you’ll bring to the table :
Requires a Bachelors’ degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
Working knowledge of business systems and applications, incident and change management, project, and systems management.
Working knowledge of department specific processes and procedures.
Requires solid analytical, organizational, trouble shooting and problem solution skills.
Ability to elicit, gather and analyze data.
Solid presentation (technical and non-technical) communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to function in a consultative role.
Ability to work with vendors.
Requires solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of various software programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

Further practical experience and knowledge required is:
Solid conceptual understanding of relational database management systems – this is required.
Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries and functions. More importantly, the ability to visualize and understand the logic behind the code and resulting data sets.
Excel syntax, calculation building, pivot tables, and basic analytics.
Report design aesthetics.
Any scripting experience (ie. Python) – helpful but not required
