JOB TITLE: FT Housing Manager
PROGRAM: Housing Services
REPORTS TO: Youth Programs Area Director Kitsap
SALARY POSITION: $25 - $27 /hour Range
SUMMARY
The Housing Manager oversees all housing programs operated by The Coffee Oasis in Kitsap County , including the emergency youth shelter, a transitional house.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in screening, evaluation and orientation of homeless youth.
- Coordinate individual and group resources and services for residents.
- Complete weekly and monthly program reports.
- Create systems to maintain and dispense appropriate medications.
- Oversee inputting of client data into computer system.
- Develop policies to instruct youth regarding desirable health and personal habits.
- Set policies to discipline youth and recommend or initiate other measures to control behavior.
- Coordinate staff and youth to assist with housekeeping duties in the entire Housing programs and ensure cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
- Ensure safe environment for fellow employees, volunteers and residents.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required
- Work with Landlords for Housing programs
- Be the face of the housing programs for The Coffee Oasis
- Advocate and impact community and policy for homeless youth
- Develop budget and financial goals for Housing Services Program
QUALIFICATIONS:
· In full agreement with The Coffee Oasis beliefs, values, mission and Jesus Statement.
· Be at least Twenty-Five years of age;
· Have a B.A. degree, or its equivalent;
· Have at least two years of experience working with adolescents;
· Have completed HIV/AIDS/Blood borne pathogen training;
· Have completed first aid and CPR;
· Have completed a tuberculin test
· Have possession of current driver’s license, access to a vehicle and personal automobile insurance.
· Have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Internet research ability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
