Santa Monica Proper Hotel is looking for a full-time Housekeeping Coordinator. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper hotel features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Job Overview

• Assist Housekeeping Management team with general administrative duties
• Be a liaison between Housekeeping, Front Office and Engineering departments
• Handle Lost & Found item with Security
• Coordinate daily assignments to Housekeeping team
• Handle guest laundry requests and deliveries
• Receive, record, store and distribute clean uniforms to colleagues
• Maintain the linen room and uniform room
• Performs other duties requested by Managers

Qualifications

• Previous guest service and/or Housekeeping experience
• Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
• Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Education
High school diploma preferred.
